Set in spacious, sweeping grounds the Hare and Hounds Hotel has been a feature point in this area since the early 18th Century. The original coach-house, which still exists as the hotel’s very own on-site pub called Jack Hare’s Bar, was extended in 1928 to create the hotel that stands today.

Having recently been brought into the Cotswold Inns and Hotels family the Hare and Hounds has benefited from extensive renovations. The main lounge area is a tasteful combination of classic leather armchairs and sofas with vibrant colours
and modern artwork, the majority of which has been specifically commissioned from one artist. The Beaufort Restaurant is the brightest room in the hotel, with fantastic views out across the gardens it makes for an ideal ceremony setting. The drawing room and library have also been redecorated, the deep rustic colours and cosy seating areas compliment the open log fires to give real warmth and comfort to each room, whatever the time of year.
The hotel’s 45 bedrooms are located in the main building and in the purpose-built cottages that surround it - the Coach House, the Garden Cottage, The Forge and the recently built Silkwood Court, all a short walk across the courtyard. Each room has been individually and uniquely decorated to provide comfort and style, and the larger suites located in Silkwood court are suitably luxurious for an indulgent wedding night.
Alternatively the hotel can provide a cold buffet option for either the lunch or evening functions, as well as canapés and drinks packages. Having already taken over 50 bookings for this year alone the management team at The Hare and Hounds understand the need for individuality and flexibility when planning a wedding and they have set out their packages with this in mind.
